GROWN IN CALIFORNIA
Laurina is special by nature, but this lot may be one of the most distinctive we’ve encountered.
Naturally containing around 50% less caffeine than standard Arabica, Laurina makes for an ideal late-afternoon or after-dinner cup without sacrificing the depth or character so often missing in chemically processed decaffeinated coffees.
This particular Laurina was grown at Silent Springs, an experimental planting where coffee is cultivated inside tunnel structures typically used on berry farms. These protected environments allow for far greater control over growing conditions, resulting in heightened quality.
For this year’s allotment, we chose to apply our yeast washed process. In combination with advanced agricultural techniques and the nuanced influence of Southern Californian terroir, the result is a syrupy and full-bodied cup that evokes the comfort of a warm berry pie: rich, round, and indulgent.
