Rancho Arroyo Alamar GeishaGeisha - Washed
This geisha coffee was grown at Rancho Arroyo Alamar, a farm located in the foothills above the rugged Gaviota coast in northern Santa Barbara County. The cup profile is like a little taste of Southern California in the spring with a mix of orange blossom and sweet, juicy tangerine.
Geisha (or more properly “gesha”) traces its origin back to Ethiopia’s Gori Gesha Forest, where its seeds were first collected in the 1930s. However, it wasn’t until 2005 that Geisha gained global recognition when it broke price records at the prestigious Best of Panama competition and auction. Today it continues to be prized for the exotic cup that it provides—something that clearly shines through in this Californian example.
