This dark roast version of California Catuaí is our tribute to the specialty coffee culture pioneered by Northern Californian roasters in the ’70s and ’80s. Thick, rich, and chocolatey, it’s the perfect choice for when you simply want something that tastes like coffee—yet it carries the refined character of our unique Southern Californian terroir. Among all our offerings, this one makes an ideal first cup of the day, whether served black or with milk.

Catuaí originated in Brazil, where it was developed in the 1940s as a cross between the Mundo Novo and Caturra varieties. Today, it is widely grown across the Americas for its climate resilience and sweet, approachable cup quality.
