Finca 1890 Catuaí Rojo – GreenWashed - Green (Unroasted)

There’s something special in the soil above Carpinteria. For evidence of that look no further that this Catuai Rojo grown at Steffens Family Farms located above the sleepy Santa Barbara county beach town.

With its ideal coastal climate and tropical fruit-friendly soil, it’s no wonder that a coffee as good as this Catuaí would come from Carpinteria. It’s a sweet, creamy cup with layers of fruit and chocolate undertones. It’s the kind of coffee we’d gladly wake up to every morning—if only we could.

Catuaí originated in Brazil, where it was developed in the 1940s as a cross between the Mundo Novo and Caturra varieties. Today, it is widely grown across the Americas for its climate resilience and sweet, approachable cup quality.

This is unroasted green coffee. Perfect for home roasters and small cafes who are interested in sampling Carpinteria’s unique terroir. The roasted version can be found here.
